2024Also available in:
No results found.Regional Coordination and Technical Support Project (RCP), will serve as a regional framework to leverage political and technical engagement at regional level. Specifically, one core objective of the RCP is to facilitate regional dialogue and exchange on a regional vision on the conservation and sustainable use of primary forests of Southeast Asia plus Bhutan and Papua New Guinea. Other activities include technical assistance, knowledge exchange, establishment of a regional knowledge and learning hub on primary forests, and the convening of a primary forest investment forum. By engaging as political partner in the RCP, AMS / ASEAN the project will not only shape the regional vision on primary forests but also leverage additional resources and expertise in support of the region’s primary forests as well as in support of meeting AMS’s commitments under the UN Forum on Forests, the UN Climate Convention and the UN Biodiversity Plan – thereby positioning the region as a leader in global forest stewardship.
