    Since Zambia joined FAO in 1965, cooperation has focused on the provision of technical assistance across the country’s agriculture sector, including rural development. Cooperation has been in line with the country’s successive national frameworks, including most recently the 7th National Development Plan, aimed at achieving the Vision 2030 objective of transforming Zambia into a middle-income country by 2030.

    Saint Vincent and the Grenadines joined FAO in 1981. Early assistance was delivered through a range of interventions focusing on capacity building, policy formulation, agricultural planning and legislation development. More recently, interventions have addressed food security programmes, technology transfer for improved production and strengthening of market infrastructure. A major feature of current cooperation is resilience building in the face of climate change.

    Saint Lucia and FAO have partnered since the country joined the organization in 1979. Assistance has been geared towards sustainable agricultural development and food and nutrition security, with a parallel focus on natural resource management. Ranging from national policy support to community-level projects, interventions seek to improve agricultural productivity and local food production as well as income-earning opportunities for rural communities. Other key features of cooperation are disaster risk management and adaptation to climate change.
