التغذية وتغير المناخ
2022تتأثر النظم الزراعية والغذائية بتغير المناخ وتسهم فيه على حد سواء. فعلى سبيل المثال، يعد النظام الغذائي العالمي مسؤولًا عن كبيرة من انبعاثات غازات الاحتباس الحراري التي تؤدي إلى التغيرات المناخية والبيئية. ويؤدي في الوقت عينه تغير المناخ إلى تبديل "ما" يمكننا زراعته من أغذية وحصاده وإنتاجه و"لأي مدى" و"بواسطة أي" موارد. ويقرّ عمل المنظمة في مجال التغذية، مدفوعًا بنهج النظم الزراعية والغذائية ومبادئه التوجيهية، بأهمية مراعاة العلاقة القائمة بين المناخ واستخدام الموارد والتغذية في السياسات والإجراءات الخاصة بالأمن الغذائي وتحسين التغذية وكذلك نظم زراعية وغذائية أكثر كفاءة وشمولًا وقدرة على الصمود واستدامة. -

لتغذية والغابات
2022تساهم الغابات بشكل ملحوظ في الأمن الغذائي والتغذية لما لا يقلّ عن 2.4 مليارات شخص: الأغذية البريّة توفر التنوع والتغذية لأنماطهم الغذائية؛ فيما تؤمّن المنتجات والخدمات الحرجية الدخل لمصادر إضافية من الأغذية في حين يكتسي الوقود الخشبي أهمية حاسمة لإعداد الطعام. وتوفر الغابات أيضًا خدمات النظام الإيكولوجي الأساسية على غرار تنظيم تدفقات المياه وتثبيت التربة والمحافظة على خصوبة التربة وتنظيم المناخ وتوفير موئل للملقحات والمفترسات البريّة للآفات الزراعية. ويقرّ عمل المنظمة في مجال التغذية، مدفوعًا بنهج النظم الزراعية والغذائية ومبادئه التوجيهية، بالدور الحاسم الأهمية للمنتجات والخدمات الحرجية في السياسات والإجراءات الخاصة بالأمن الغذائي وتحسين التغذية وكذلك نظم زراعية وغذائية أكثر كفاءة وشمولًا وقدرة على الصمود واستدامة. -

2023يهدف هذا التقرير إلى تشجيع التفكير الاستراتيجي والإجراءات الاستراتيجية لتحويل النظم الزراعية والغذائية نحو مستقبل مستدام وقادر على الصمود وشامل. وهو يبني على التقارير السابقة لهذه السلسلة كما على عملية الاستشراف الاستراتيجي الشاملة في المنظمة التي عززت أيضًا الإطار الاستراتيجي لمنظمة الأغذية والزراعة للفترة 2022-2031. ويحلل هذا التقرير المحرّكات الرئيسية للنظم الزراعية والغذائية ويستكشف كيف يمكن لاتجاهاتها أن تحدد مستقبلًا بديلًا للنظم الزراعية والغذائية وللنظم الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والبيئية. وتتمثل الرسالة الأساسية لهذا التقرير في أنّه لا يزال من الممكن دفع النظم الزراعية والغذائية على مسار الاستدامة والقدرة على الصمود، إذا ما تمّ تفعيل "الدوافع" الرئيسية للتحوّل بشكل صحيح. لكن يجب أن تتفوّق الخيارات الاستراتيجية للسياسات الرامية إلى تفعيل هذه الدوافع على المصالح المكتسبة، والمآرب الخفية والأهداف المتضاربة، وأن تقوم بمقايضة الإنجازات غير المستدامة القصيرة الأجل من أجل تحقيق الاستدامة والقدرة على الصمود والشمولية على المدى الطويل.

Urbanization, agrifood systems transformation and healthy diets across the rural–urban continuum
2023This report provides an update on global progress towards the targets of ending hunger (SDG Target 2.1) and all forms of malnutrition (SDG Target 2.2) and estimates on the number of people who are unable to afford a healthy diet. Since its 2017 edition, this report has repeatedly highlighted that the intensification and interaction of conflict, climate extremes and economic slowdowns and downturns, combined with highly unaffordable nutritious foods and growing inequality, are pushing us off track to meet the SDG 2 targets. However, other important megatrends must also be factored into the analysis to fully understand the challenges and opportunities for meeting the SDG 2 targets. One such megatrend, and the focus of this year’s report, is urbanization. New evidence shows that food purchases in some countries are no longer high only among urban households but also among rural households. Consumption of highly processed foods is also increasing in peri-urban and rural areas of some countries. These changes are affecting people’s food security and nutrition in ways that differ depending on where they live across the rural–urban continuum. This timely and relevant theme is aligned with the United Nations General Assembly-endorsed New Urban Agenda, and the report provides recommendations on the policies, investments and actions needed to address the challenges of agrifood systems transformation under urbanization and to enable opportunities for ensuring access to affordable healthy diets for everyone. -
