PREPARATION OF THIS REPORT
This is the report of the Workshop on the basis of the summary contributions and recommendations provided by the various Session Chairmen during the meeting and edited later by Professor J.M. Gropp (Chairman of the Workshop) and Dr. A.G.J. Tacon (Technical Secretary of the Workshop).
It is planned to publish the full texts of the review papers and most of the experience papers presented at the Workshop later this year. The help and assistance of Dr. Annette Schuhmacher in the preparation of this report is greatly appreciated.

ABSTRACT |
The European Inland Fisheries Advisory Commission (EIFAC) organized a Workshop on methodology for determination of nutrient requirements in fish from 29 June to 1 July 1993 in Eichenau, Germany. |
There were nine consecutive technical sessions during which the various topics were introduced and discussed. These topics referred to energy, proteins and amino acids, digestion and utilization of protein and energy, lipids and essential fatty acids, carbohydrates, minerals and trace elements, vitamins, feed additives, and application of nutrient requirement data. |
A series of recommendations were made concerning each of these main topics and are presented in the report together with the abstracts of the papers and posters presented during the Workshop. |
