FAO. Report to the Government of Greece on Survey of Trout Diseases, based on the work of Charles P. Carlson. Rome, 1973. 7 p. United Nations Development Programme. [Report] No. TA 3230.

ABSTRACT

The present study, carried out from 2 to 26 April 1973, was aimed to investigate the existing disease situation in cultivated fish, in particular rainbow trout.

A total of 35 trout hatcheries, 1 carp hatchery and 2 brackishwater hatcheries was visited. The presence of Infectious Pancreatic Necrosis (IPN) in a number of trout hatcheries in Epirus has been confirmed, and recommendations for its elimination as well as for the control of bacterial and parasitic diseases were made.
