Fisheries Sector Institutional Analysis and Capacity Assessment, SriLanka
ABSTRACT This report describes the results of a sectoral institutional analysis of the fisheries
administrative structure in Sri Lanka. The purpose of the review is to establish the
opportunities for institutional strengthening following the 2004 Tsunami disaster. The timing
of the review is highly opportune since it follows Government’s development of the National
10 Year Plan which seeks to optimise the contribution from the fishery and aquaculture
sectors. |
