This report is a micro level study about the marketing of woodfuels in Peshawar City, a city in the North of Pakistan. The study starts with an overview of the energy situation in Pakistan followed by a description of the wood energy situation in this country. In the case area of Peshawar City different aspects have been studied. Among them are the supply and marketing system of woodfuel in this area. With regard to the marketing system the study describes the distribution channels and woodfuel prices from different sources of supply as well as price trends. Next to this attention has been paid to the sustainability of woodfuel trade and its related issues such as credit, manpower skills and the economic condition of consumers.
