The "DR. FRIDTJOF NANSEN" RESEARCH PROGRAMME is sponsored by The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation NORAD, The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations FAO, and the United Nations Development Programme UNDP. The programme in Namibia is being conducted and planned under agreements between UNDP, Namibian authorities and the Institute of Marine Research, Norway. Its execution is the responsibility of the Institute of Marine Research in cooperation with the appointed Namibian representatives.

This cruise report describes the work and some of the findings of the second survey. A full report will be issued after the completion of the programme.
