Many income-generating activities are developing in the rural area to enable farmers male or female - to enhance their production and progressively enter the market economy.
However, it was noted that, in many countries, farmers and members of village groups lack knowledge of how to manage such enterprises and to make them as productive as possible.
Taking experience acquired in many projects as a basis, this manual on managing rural income-generating activities should enable trainers to strengthen their training activities among rural populations.
The manual was prepared jointly by the Marketing and Rural Finance Service (AGSM) and the Women in Agricultural Production and Rural Development Service (ESHA).
Mr Sawadogo, Credit Expert, compiled the document on the basis of experience gained with village groups in various African countries.
