Lecciones Aprendidas", contendrá la sistematización producto de una reciente investigación realizada por el Programa de Cooperación Venezuela-FAO, SANA, de las historias de éxito contra el hambre y la desnutrición consecuencia de planes y proyectos implementados en el marco de los primeros 10 años del convenio de cooperación energética Petrocaribe, para que puedan ser adecuadamente valoradas, compartidas y replicadas.

    The publication "PETROCARIBE: 10 years of struggle against hunger and poverty" contains the systematization of a recent investigation made by the Venezuela-FAO Cooperation Program, SANA, of success stories of experiences against hunger and malnutrition, resulting from plans and projects implemented within the first 10 years of the Petrocaribe energy cooperation agreement, so they can be properly valued, shared and replicated. The strategic FAO-Petrocaribe alliance allows optimizing the use of th e financial resources dedicated by Petrocaribe to agro-food projects, with the availability of the most advanced techniques to prepare and follow-up on social projects, preserving the identity and customs of each region, and allowing the different communities a starring role in their own development. Through its lines, this publication shows us the road travelled by Petrocaribe in the contribution to the achievement of food security in the Caribbean and Central American region, by identifying th e different programs implemented to achieve wellbeing in the region.

    La red latinoamericana de Cooperación Técnica en Dendroenergía, auspiciada por la Oficina Regional de la FAO para América Latina y el Caribe (RLAC), fue acordada en Santiago, Chile, en enero de 1984, y formalmente establecida en Buenos Aires, Argentina, en octubre de 1984, designándose a cargo de la Coordinación Regional al Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial (INTI) de Argentina. Esta función fue ratificada y extendida hasta noviembre de 1990, cuando la coordinación regional fue transfer ida a la Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) de Guayaquil, Ecuador.
