No results found.The global agenda for sustainable development, climate action and natural resource management intersect at a landscape scale. In forest landscapes, land-use planning can help to find as balance among competing and sometimes contradictory uses. FAO, and UN Environment, are convening a technical discussion that aims to: • Identify the enabling factors for cross-sectoral consensus-building for land-use planning; • Highlight the triggers that accelerate land-use planning to achieve transformational change across forest landscapes; • Explore the international frameworks that are driving multipurpose land-use planning; • Extract lessons for scaling-up multipurpose land-use planning best practices; • Highlight tools for successful implementation of land-use planning to reduce deforestation and share best practices. ©FAO 2018 xxxxxx/x/xx.18
