No results found.The Government of the Japan contributed USD 975 000 to the FAO project, "Socioeconomic stabilization and resilience building for vulnerable Bedouin households in the West Bank and Gaza Strip". The overall objective of the project was to protect the livelihoods and improve the food security of vulnerable livestock-keeping households. A total of 1 946 livestock-keeping households, of whom 419 were headed by women, approximately 10 000 people, were able to enhance their resilience to environmental shocks, as well as their capacities to establish sustainable income-generating activities through the provision of drought-resistant fodder seed, salt blocks and other farm tools, olive cake briquettes, mobile water tanks for migrating animals, poultry and dairy production packages and trainings. -
