When growing a crop outside of the rainy season, a farmer has to find ways to supply water to the crop. Therefore it is critical that the participants understand the water cycle, and the best ways of collecting, using and conserving water. Water is also essential in our own daily lives. We need it to drink, to prepare food and to wash. The partic ipants need to understand the importance of clean water for preventing disease and for their own personal hygiene. This module contains sample exercises for each of the learning activities, plus a number of sample energizers and cultural activities that can be used to keep the participants engaged and reinforce their learning. The provided activities should serve as samples to be modifies and applied as appropriate. The important thing is that all main building blocks of a typical JFFLS session are included in each learning session.
