    The newsletter of the Sawlog Production Grant Scheme (SPGS) Phase III project is a bi-annual publication with news and updates on the project’s implementation. SPGS III is a five-year (until 2021) project of the Government of Uganda, funded by the European Union and implemented with the technical support of FAO in Uganda. This issue of the newsletter includes updates on the project’s work supporting private individuals and communities to engage in commercial forestry for improved livelihoods and climate change mitigation. It also showcases some success stories from beneficiaries as well as articles on key tree species for timber production in Uganda.
