Trente-cinquième session Conférence régionale de la FAO pour l’Asie et le Pacifique
2020The FAO Animal Production and Health Commission for Asia and the Pacific (APHCA) was initiated by Asian nations at the Fifth FAO Regional Conference on Animal Production in 1974. APHCA’s mission is to enhance levels of nutrition and standards of living of livestock keepers, livestock producers and livestock value-chain actors through equitable, sustainable and safe livestock-sector development. Furthermore, APHCA supports sustainable improvement in rural livestock, agriculture and resource use through information sharing and capacity development for members. Some of the most important areas addressed by APHCA relate to the development of climate-smart livestock, dairy production, animal feeding, transboundary animal and zoonotic diseases and antimicrobial resistance. APHCA has also been instrumental in the establishment of Dairy Asia. -

Conférence Régionale de la FAO pour l’Asie et le Pacifique (APRC36)
2022La Commission de la production et de la santé animales pour l’Asie et le Pacifique (la Commission) a été créée à l’initiative de pays asiatiques à la cinquième Conférence régionale de la FAO sur la production et la santé animales, en 1971. La mission de la Commission consiste à améliorer la situation nutritionnelle et les conditions de vie des éleveurs et des acteurs de la filière en favorisant le développement d’un secteur de l’élevage équitable, durable et sans danger. En outre, la Commission contribue à l’amélioration durable de l’élevage, de l’agriculture et de l’utilisation des ressources en milieu rural grâce au partage d’informations et au renforcement des capacités des membres. Parmi les domaines les plus importants abordés actuellement par la Commission figurent le développement de l’élevage climato-intelligent, la production laitière, l’alimentation animale, les maladies animales et zoonotiques transfrontières, l’approche «Une seule santé» et la résistance aux antimicrobiens. La Commission a joué un rôle prépondérant dans la création de Dairy Asia, un réseau laitier pour l’Asie. -

Robust and practical approaches and tools for developing and integrating peatland-monitoring into national monitoring and reporting frameworks is an important opportunity for countries to limit global warming to 2 °C. -
