    This fifty-five-page report presents some of the basic facts about fuelwood data collection in Zambia. It is composed of an introductory part stating some of the basic facts about the country followed by six main sections. In fact, these are dedicated to woodfuel production, its consumption, demand, supply, trade etc. An analysis is presented on foreseeable trends of woodfuel followed by some recommendations for sustainable regeneration, production and utilisation.

The second part of the report analyses aspects of commercialisation of fuelwood in Liberia from 1994 to 1998 while the third part is a comparative analysis of the data obtained from FAO and that collected in the field. The fourth and the fifth parts are sections dedicated to projections of fuelwood use by households as well as an analysis of past, present and fut ure trends. This report includes many detailed tables of fuelwood production, consumption, sources, prices etc.
