It provides an assessment of the current indicator specifications and provides recommendations to improve data availability for the indicator. The paper has been prepared for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)’s Expert Workshop in support of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF) Joint Initiative on Streamlining Forest-related Reporting: Further improving the GCS of Forest Indicators to support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the UN Strategic Plan for Forests 2030.
