Synopsis (short abstract) Food utilization means achieving an adequate diet, clean water, sanitation and health care to reach a state of nutritional well-being where all physiological needs are met. On the one hand, this means minimizing health risks by protecting consumers from risks of food-borne diseases or harmful levels of toxic substances, ensuring safe drinking water and protecting workers in agriculture and other food-related industries from occupational health risks.
