    This document presents the adopted report of the tenth session of the Sub-Committee on Aquaculture of the FAO Committee on Fisheries (COFI), held in Trondheim, Norway from 23 to 27 August 2019. The Sub-Committee provides a forum for consultation and discussion on aquaculture-relevant topics, advises COFI on related technical and policy matters, and provides guidance for the future work. Le présent document est le rapport de la dixième session du Sous-Comité de l’aquaculture du Comité des pêches de la FAO, qui s’est tenue à Trondheim (Norvège) du 23 au 27 août 2019. Le Sous-Comité offre un espace de consultation et de débat sur l’aquaculture et conseille le Comité des pêches sur les questions techniques et politiques liées à ce secteur, ainsi que sur les activités futures dans ce domaine. En este documento se presenta el informe aprobado por el Subcomité de Acuicultura del Comité de Pesca (COFI) de la FAO en su 10.ª reunión, celebrada en Trondheim (Noruega) del 23 al 27 de agosto de 2019. El Subcomité ofrece un foro para mantener consultas y debates sobre temas pertinentes para la acuicultura, asesora al COFI sobre asuntos técnicos y de políticas relacionados con la acuicultura y proporciona orientación sobre los trabajos futuros.

    This publication presents guidelines prepared and adopted by the GFCM with a view to supporting responsible restocking and stock enhancement practices in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. Specifically, it emphasizes that a responsible and precautionary approach must be followed to minimize the potential impacts of restocking on the environment, wild stocks and capture fisheries. By recommending practical actions to stakeholders, these guidelines aim to support best practices in restocking and stock enhancement in order to prevent any harm to biodiversity, natural habitats, ecosystems and related ecosystem services and to provide decision-makers with a useful tool for policy development.

    This report summarizes the discussions held during the forty-fourth session of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean and the eleventh session of the Committee on Administration and Finance. During the session, progress in activities related to fisheries, aquaculture, compliance and other strategic activities was reviewed. The Commission adopted 21 binding recommendations and 14 resolutions dealing with fisheries management and conservation, aquaculture, compliance, vessel monitoring and the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing as well as the GFCM 2030 Strategy for sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. Moreover, the Commission reviewed issues related to its functioning and to the mandate of the GFCM Executive Secretary. Finally, the Commission adopted its programme of work for the next intersession and approved its autonomous budget for 2022 as well as a number of strategic actions to be funded through extrabudgetary resources. The Commission also renewed the GFCM Bureau as well as the mandates of the Bureaus of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Fisheries, the Scientific Advisory Committee on Aquaculture and the Working Group on the Black Sea, and endorsed the new Bureaus of the Compliance Committee and the Committee on Administration and Finance.
