La Commission a noté les travaux réalisés depuis la huitième session avec satisfaction, a examiné le rapport du Comité scientifique et ses recommandations, a noté les résultats positifs du Groupe de travail sur la collaboration et la coopération dans le domaine de pêche thonière, a révisé les Règles de procédure de la CPSOOI, a soulevé des questions relatives à la mise en place d'une centre régionale de contrôle et de surveillance de la SADC à Maputo, a discuté de l'inclusion de la composante régionale du Projet de gouvernance et de croissance partagée de la pêche dans le sud-ouest de l’océan Indien (SWIOFish1) au sein du Secrétariat CPSOOI, a créé un Comité de pilotage pour le projet, et a approuvé le programme de travail de la CPSOOI, -

No results found.The Ninth Session of the Scientific Committee (SC) of the Southwest Indian Ocean Fisheries Commission (SWIOFC) was held from 16 to 19 July 2019 in Réunion, France. The Committee reviewed the national reports on the status of fisheries and fisheries resources, on the management actions undertaken by member countries in the intersessional period and on the fishery research activities carried out or in planning. The national reports on fisheries management plans being implemented or planned, the current state of the certification of fisheries, the knowledge on discards and by-catch and the impact of climate events on fisheries and aquaculture were also presented and commented upon. La neuvième session du Comité scientifique de la Commission des Pêches du Sud-Ouest de l'Océan Indien (CPSOOI) s'est tenue du 16 au 19 juillet 2019 à la Réunion, France. Le Comité a examiné les rapports nationaux sur l'état des ressources halieutiques et les mesures de gestion prises par les pays membres pendant la période d'intersession, ainsi que les activités de recherche halieutique menées ou prévues. Les rapports nationaux sur les plans de gestion des pêches mis en œuvre ou prévus, l'état actuel de la certification des pêcheries, les connaissances sur les rejets et les prises accessoires et l'impact des phénomènes climatiques sur les pêches et l'aquaculture ont également été présentés et commentés. -

No results found.The Eleventh Session of the Southwest Indian Ocean Fisheries Commission (SWIOFC) was held virtually from 4 to 6 August 2021. The Commission considered the report of the Scientific Committee and endorsed its recommendations, including the proposal on the creation of a Working Group on Fisheries Socioeconomics. The Session noted the work conducted and recommendations of the two meetings held on 2020 by the Working Party on Collaboration and Cooperation in Tuna Fisheries (WPCCTF), the preliminary findings for the baseline report on the Minimum Terms and Conditions (MTC) Guidelines by SWIOFC members and discussed the possible start of a negotiation about the Southwest Indian Ocean Fisheries Framework Agreement (SWIO FFA). La onzième session de la Commission des pêches du sud-ouest de l'océan Indien (CPSOOI) s'est tenue virtuellement du 4 au 6 août 2021. La Commission a examiné le rapport du Comité scientifique et a approuvé ses recommandations, y compris la proposition de création d'un groupe de travail sur la socio-économie des pêches. La session a pris note des travaux menés et des recommandations des deux réunions tenues en 2020 par le groupe de travail sur la collaboration et la coopération dans le secteur de la pêche thonière (GTCCPT), les conclusions préliminaires du rapport sur les lignes directrices relatives aux termes et conditions minimales (TCM) par les membres de la CPSOOI, et a discuté le possible début d’une négociation sur l'Accord-cadre sur les pêches dans le sud-ouest de l'océan Indien (ACP SOOI).

No results found.There is increasing attention to the importance of biodiversity for food security and nutrition, especially above-ground biodiversity such as plants and animals. However, less attention is being paid to the biodiversity beneath our feet, soil biodiversity, which drives many processes that produce food or purify soil and water. This report is the result of an inclusive process involving more than 300 scientists from around the world under the auspices of the FAO’s Global Soil Partnership and its Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils, the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative, and the European Commission. It presents concisely the state of knowledge on soil biodiversity, the threats to it, and the solutions that soil biodiversity can provide to problems in different fields. It also represents a valuable contribution to raising awareness of the importance of soil biodiversity and highlighting its role in finding solutions to today's global threats. -
