Synopsis (short abstract) This report is the result of a joint collaboration by the National Statistical Office of Thailand and the Office of Agricultural Economics of Thailand, under the technical guidance of FAO's Statistics Division. The report provides an analysis of the food security situation in Thailand and its provinces by using available agriculture and food data for the preparation of food supply and utilization accounts for the compilation of food balance sheets. It also analyses the food consumption data coll ected in the 2011 Thailand Household Socio Economic Survey to derive a suite of food security indicators at national and subnational levels.

    An FAO/WFP Crop and Food Security Assessment Mission visited Yemen from 3 to 17 October 2009 to estimate the 2009 main season cereal production and assess the overall food security situation for the 2010 marketing year (January/December). The Mission included two experts from the FAO Emergency Operations and Rehabilitation Division of the Technical Cooperation Department (TCES) that drafted emergency agricultural rehabilitation projects as inputs in the 2010 Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan.
