    The overall aim of the meeting was for the working group to agree on an outline of the CCLME TDA, to agree on a strategy for how to complete the TDA in time, and to agree on a work plan for the period 2011-2012 taking into consideration the expected date for adoption of the TDA (November 2012). See Annex 2 regarding the agenda of the meeting.

    The second meeting of the Working Group on planning and analysis of ecosystem surveys in the CCLME area, organized by the project "Protection of Large Marine Ecosystem Canary Current - CCLME" was held in Conference Room of the Hotel OUMPALACE in Casablanca, Morocco from 30 to 31 May 2011. This meeting was planned taking into account the presence of some scientists participating in the Eleventh Working Group on the assessment of pelagic stocks in the northern zone of CECAF/FAO held in the same ho tel from 24 to 28 May 2011.

    Le Groupe de travail sur la planification et l’analyse des campagnes écosystémiques de la zone CCLME, organisé par le projet «Protection du grand écosystème marin du courant des Canaries – CCLME » s’est tenu dans la salle de conférence de la Commission Sous Régionale des Pêches (CSRP), Dakar (SENEGAL) du 29 au 30 Octobre 2010. Les travaux ont été planifiés en tenant compte de la présence des scientifiques participant au cours de formation Nansis et à la réunion du groupe de planification des cam pagnes acoustiques du 20 au 28 octobre 2010 à Dakar, Cette réunion s’est ainsi déroulée peu avant l’atelier de démarrage du projet CCLME prévu du 2 au 4 novembre 2010.

    The Harmonized World Soil Database version 2.0 (HWSD v2.0) is a unique global soil inventory providing information on the morphological, chemical and physical properties of soils at approximately 1 km resolution. Its main objective is to be useful for modelers and to serve as a basis for prospective studies on agroecological zoning, food security and the impacts of climate change. HWSD v2.0 also serves an educational function, illustrating the geographical distribution of soils as well as their properties globally. HWSD v2.0 is easily accessible and user-friendly.

    The 40th General Session of the EuFMD Commission took place in Rome, Italy, on the 22 to 24th of April 2013, and was attended by representatives of 31 member countries. Representatives from ten observer countries, from the invited observer institutions with special Constitutional status (EC, OIE, FAO), and from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and civil society (industry) were registered and in attendance. There were in total around 100 persons.
