    Ladoption de techniques agronomiques appropries, dont la fumure raisonne, permettrait des gains de productivit apprciables au Maroc. Le faible niveau actuel dutilisation des engrais se traduit non seulement par une mauvaise productivit mais galement par un appauvrissement continu des sols. La moiti des agriculteurs nutilisent pas dengrais. Cette situation est lie notamment laugmentation du cot des engrais non compense par le niveau des prix des produits agricoles. Les agriculteurs se servent pe u des moyens de production mis leur disposition tels que lanalyse du sol. Environ un tiers des engrais sont utiliss par les cultures sucrires et les cultures forte valeur ajoute, qui noccupent que cinq pour cent de la superfi cie cultive.
