Creating more and better employment opportunities in rural areas is essential for the fight against hunger and poverty and for creating more prosperous livelihoods for the population at large. Being central to its mission, FAO works with governments and partners to c reate decent farm and non-farm employment, providing technical support and informing policy dialogue. In particular, FAO promotes innovative approaches to address key issues such as youth employment, child labour, women and decent work, migration, working conditions and availability of data and evidence. -
