سجلت أسعار تصدير الحبوب تراجعاً خلال يونيو/حزيران متأثرة بآفاق الإمداد الجيدة عموماً، بينما انخفضت أسعار الأرز على المستوى الدولي بسبب محدودية المبيعات التي تعزى إلى ارتفاع تكاليف الشحن ونقص الحاويات وفي شرق أفريقيا، حافظت أسعار الحبوب الخشنة على ارتفاعها إلى مستويات استثنائية خلال يونيو/حزيران في السودان وجنوب السودان، مدعومة بنقص الإمدادات والحالة الصعبة التي يعيشها الاقتصاد الشامل. ووصلت الأسعار إلى مستويات قياسية جديدة في السودان إثر تراجع آخر في قيمة العملة الوطنية شهدته السوق الموازية ورفع الدعم عن الوقود الذي تسبب في تضخم أسعار النقل وفي غرب أفريقيا، لاتزال جل البلدان تعيش استمرارية الاتجاهات التصاعدية الموسمية لأسعار الحبوب الخشنة المنتجة محلياً خلال يونيو/حزيران، الأمر الذي تفاقم بفعل المعوقات على مستوى سلاسل الإمداد والتي تعزى إلى الاستمرار في تطبيق التدابير لاحتواء جائحة كوفيد-91، وسوء الوضع الأمني في معظم المناطق وسط طلب محلي قوي. وكما كانت عليه الحال في الأشهر السابقة، ارتفعت الأسعار بصورة ملحوظة قياساً بالعام السابق في عديد من الأسواق -

شهدت أسعار الحبوب اتجاهات خليطة على المستوى الدولي خلال أبريل/نيسان. فقد ارتفعت أسعار الذرة لأسباب ترجع بالدرجة الأولى إلى محدودية الإمدادات، في حين بقيت أسعار القمح مستقرة بفعل توافر كميات كافية من قمح التصدير عموماً. بالمقابل، سجلت أسعار الشعير والذرة الرفيعة تراجعاً طفيفاً على المستوى الدولي، بينما كان تراجع أسعار الأرز أكبر بفعل تقلبات أسعار العملة وتباطؤ الأنشطة التجارية وفي شرق أفريقيا، بقيت أسعار الحبوب الخشنة في السودان وجنوب السودان عند مستويات تراوحت من شبه قياسية إلى قياسية، مدعومة بنقص الإمدادات والظروف العجاف التي يعيشها الاقتصاد الشامل، بما في ذلك ضعف قيمة العملة المحلية الذي أدى بدوره إلى تضخم أسعار الأغذية. وكانت أسعار الحبوب عند مستويات مرتفعة أيضاً في إثيوبيا، وذلك لأسباب يتصدرها استمرار تراجع قيمة عملة البلد، والذي أدى بدوره إلى ارتفاع تكاليف النقل والإنتاج وفي غرب أفريقيا، أدت معوقات سلاسل الإمداد والظروف الصعبة التي يعيشها الاقتصاد الشامل إلى تضخم الزيادات الموسمية التي شهدتها أسعار الحبوب الخشنة في نيجيريا، حيث تسببت في دعمها إلى مستويات تجاوزت نظيرتها قبل عام، لاسيما في المنطقة الشمالية الشرقية التي فاقمت حالة النزاعات المتواصلة فيها من التحديات الاقتصادية. ووصل التضخم السنوي في أسعار الأغذية إلى أعلى مستوى له خلال نحو 61 عاماً بزيادة وصلت نسبتها إلى 32 في المائة خلال مارس/آذار 1202 -

سجلت أسعار الحبوب على المستوى الدولي ارتفاعاً مرة أخرى بصورة عامة خلال مايو/أيار، رغم بدء تراجعها مع نهاية الشهر بفعل تحسن آفاق الإنتاج. أما أسعار الأرز فحافظت على استقرارها خلال مايو/أيار، بينما أبقت المشكلات اللوجستية وارتفاع تكاليف الشحن النشاط التجاري ضعيفاً على مدار الشهر وفي شرق أفريقيا، بقيت أسعار الحبوب الخشنة عند مستويات شبه قياسية إلى قياسية في كل من السودان وجنوب السودان، مدعومة بنقص الإمدادات والمصاعب الشديدة التي تعصف بالاقتصاد الشامل، بما في ذلك ضعف قيمة العملة الذي يتسبب باستمرار التضخم شهدت أسعار حبوب الذرة في جنوب أفريقيا ارتفاعاً طفيفاً خلال مايو/أيار، لتبقى أعلى من مستوياتها قبل عام، فتأثيرات ارتفاع الأسعار في السوق الدولية فاق الضغط المؤدي إلى تراجعها نتيجة توقع إنتاج كميات كبيرة من الذرة عام 1202. وفي أمريكا الجنوبية، سجلت أسعار الذرة الصفراء مزيداً من الارتفاع في الأرجنتين والبرازيل – البلدان المنتجان الأساسيان للذرة الصفراء – لتبقى الأسعار بذلك أعلى بأشواط من قيم نظيرتها قبل عام ما يعكس الضغط المسبب لارتفاعها جراء مبيعات التصدير بكميات قياسية في الأرجنتين، وظروف الجفاف المناوئة التي أصابت المحصول في البرازيل. ولعل ما دعم الأسواق أيضاً في كلا البلدين يعود إلى الاتجاه التصاعدي الحاد في عروض الأسعار الدولية
