Synopsis (short abstract) This-is the fil version of the report of the Twenty-third Session of the Indo-Pacific Fishery Commission (IPFC), held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 14 to 24 May 1990. Major topics discussed were: artificial reefs and fish aggregating devices as resource enhancement and fisheries magement tools; status and prospects of the fisheries sector in Asia and the Pacific; matters referred for the attention of the Commission; and a review of the structure, functions and responsibilities of IPFC and its subsi diary bodies including amendments to the terms of reference.
