Book (stand-alone)Manual / guideالدليل التقني بشأن إدماج الخطوط التوجيهية الطوعية للحوكمة المسؤولة لحيازة الأراضي ومصايد الأسماك والغابات في سياق الأمن الغذائي الوطني في تنفيذ اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر وتحييد أثر تدهور الأراضي 2022يتناول هذا الدليل التقني، الذي اشتركت في إعداده أمانتا منظمة الأمم المتحدة للأغذية والزراعة (الفاو) واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر، بمساهمات من أصحاب المصلحة المتعددين، إدماج المبادئ التوجيهية الطوعية بشأن الإدارة المسؤولة لحيازة الأراضي ومصائد الأسماك والغابات في سياق الأمن الغذائي الوطني في تنفيذ اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر وتحييد أثر تدهور الأراضي. وبالتالي فتح فصل جديد في الجهود الجارية لمكافحة التصحر وتدهور الأراضي والجفاف. ويوضح الدليل التطبيقات العملية للخطوط التوجيهية الطوعية بشأن الحوكمة المسؤولة لحيازة الأراضي ومصايد الأسماك والغابات في سياق الأمن الغذائي الوطني - وهو إطار عمل معترف به دولياً بشأن الحوكمة المسؤولة لحيازة الأراضي - في سياق تصميم مبادرات تحييد أثر تدهور الأراضي وتنفيذها. ويوفِّر نهجاً مرناً متعدد المسارات لدعم صانعي السياسات والقرارات وأصحاب المصلحة المعنيين في تشكيل استجابة مصممة خصيصاً للتحديات المتعلقة بحيازة الأراضي التي نواجهها كثيراً عبر مجموعة من الخطط الوطنية والأُطر القانونية والاستراتيجيات وبرامج العمل التي تعالج تدهور الأراضي.

No results found.FAO/INFOODS prepared this database to provide a tool for researchers and professionals to convert volume into weight and vice-versa. Data were collected from the literature, various national food composition tables and measurements conducted by the authors (see bibliography). Version 1.0 included density data for 214 food entries in 16 food groups from six sources and version 2.0 includes 638 foods entries in 20 food groups from 11 sources. For version 2, in addition to density data it was decid ed to also present data on specific gravity and to define the terms used. The data presented in this database are divided between density (including mass density and bulk density) and specific gravity. Like version 1.0, the data can be downloaded in Excel format from the INFOODS website. French version of this publication "Base de données FAO/INFOODS sur la densité. Selection of high quality horticultural produce for processing and implementation of good practices during processing operations are required to assure both the quality of the produce and the safety of the final product. This technical guide reviews, from a theoretical and practical perspective, the critical issues that must be addressed for fresh-cut produce to meet consumer demand for convenience, quality and safety. A case study on fresh-cut processing in Thailand is included. The guide should be of practical value to small processors, trainers and extension workers who provide support to individuals engaged in production of fresh-cut tropical produce for sale. -

Moving forward on food loss and waste reduction
2019The need to reduce food loss and waste is firmly embedded in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Food loss and waste reduction is considered important for improving food security and nutrition, promoting environmental sustainability and lowering production costs. However, efforts to reduce food loss and waste will only be effective if informed by a solid understanding of the problem. This report provides new estimates of the percentage of the world’s food lost from production up to the retail level. The report also finds a vast diversity in existing estimates of losses, even for the same commodities and for the same stages in the supply chain. Clearly identifying and understanding critical loss points in specific supply chains – where considerable potential exists for reducing food losses – is crucial to deciding on appropriate measures. The report provides some guiding principles for interventions based on the objectives being pursued through food loss and waste reductions, be they in improved economic efficiency, food security and nutrition, or environmental sustainability.
