No results found.The Pre-Investment Survey of Fishing Harbours is being conducted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in cooperation with the Government of India. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, on this Project, is acting as the Executing and Participating Agency for the United Nations Development Programme. Field and office work for this report was done from September, 1971 to May, 1972. A comprehensive review of the existing status of fishing operatio ns based on Neendakara, and an identification of likely future development trends, was undertaken in order to establish the need for harbour facilities at this centre. -

The coastline of Mysore State is about 300 km which is approximately 5% of the total Indian coastline of 5, 700 km. Honavar'. is mid-way between th e proposed all-weather fishing ports at Malpe and Karwar.
