Ce document présente le développement d’un ensemble mondial de valeurs énergétiques et nutritionnelles et de coefficients de portion comestible destinés aux comptes disponibilités et utilisation (CDU) compilés par la FAO. Les statistiques des CDU sont publiées sur FAOSTAT, la plus grande base de données mondiale fournissant un accès gratuit aux statistiques sur l'alimentation, l'agriculture, la pêche, la sylviculture, la gestion des ressources naturelles et la nutrition. Jusqu'en 2023, les statistiques publiées par la FAO portaient uniquement sur l'énergie et les macronutriments (protéines et matières grasses), si bien qu'aucune statistique concernant les vitamines ou les minéraux n'était disponible. Ce document offre des informations générales quant au développement de la Table de conversion nutritionnelle globale pour les comptes disponibilités et utilisation de la FAO (ou, plus simplement, la NCT globale pour les CDU) et précise la méthodologie et les principes qui y ont été appliqués. La NCT globale pour les CDU comprend 435 produits alimentaires concernant les cultures et le bétail et 95 produits alimentaires concernant le poisson et d'autres produits aquatiques, soit un total de 530 produits. Chaque élément des CDU a été apparié à des données sur la composition des aliments provenant d'une sélection de FCT de haute qualité établies dans différents pays et régions. Les valeurs énergétiques et nutritionnelles correspondent à un profil moyen pour chaque produit alimentaire répertorié dans les CDU.

The achievement of the first two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – end poverty and hunger by 2030 – requires substantial investments. To fully contribute to sustainable development, both public and private investments should be perfectly aligned with the SDGs. In this context, empowering youth to invest in their own farms and businesses along agricultural value chains should be a key component of sustainable development-centered investment promotion and mobilization strategy for three reasons: the improvement of food security; the promotion of the added value of food products; and the improvement of employment and economic well-being. This strategic planning tool can help propel investments by young agri-entrepreneurs at national or regional levels, and help ensure their sustainability. It analyses the current environment and overall conditions young investors face while offering practical solutions to overcome the main challenges identified. The strategic planning tool also helps ensure that decision-makers take ownership of the results through a participatory and inclusive process. The strategic planning process consists of four steps: 1. Identify which actions to prioritize (promising agri-food chains; target areas and groups of young people with the potential to become successful agri-entrepreneurs and who need help the most); 2. Analyse the current context, institutional, policy, legal, and incentive frameworks as well as existing services which help young agri-entrepreneurs make sustainable investments in the agricultural sector and food systems; 3. Develop a common vision of the optimal situation for young agri-entrepreneurs investing in agri-food chains; and 4. Develop practical solutions to enhance sustainable and responsible investments by young agri-entrepreneurs. This tool was piloted and validated in Tunisia in 2019/2020. -

No results found.FAO’s Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP) is one of the mechanisms to respond to countries’ most pressing needs for technical assistance and effectively pursue the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2019 Report of the Technical Cooperation Programme introduces a new series of annual reports that provide FAO Members, governments, donors, beneficiaries and other stakeholders with evidence of the impact of the work carried out by FAO through the TCP. Prepared by the Outreach, Marketing and Reporting Unit (PSRR), in close collaboration with the TCP Coordination Unit in the Office of the Assistant Director-General (ADG-PS), the first in the series presents and assesses the achievements and catalytic role of TCP-funded projects. Based on a review of the TCP projects operationally closed during 2018 and interviews with lead technical officers, technical officers at FAO headquarters, budget holders and FAO country representatives, the report provides details on the characteristics, typical interventions and results of the programme, and features a select number of in-depth stories to highlight the tangible and lasting results of the programme’s catalytic work.
