La Consultation s’est tenue au siège de la FAO, à Rome, du 8 au 12 novembre 2010. Elle a été convoquée par le Directeur général de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture, sur recomm andation de la vingt-huitième session du Comité des pêches de la FAO. La Consultation technique a formulé des recommandations à l’intention du Comité, pour examen à sa vingt-neuvième session. Elle a été financée par les gouvernements du Royaume-Uni et des États-Unis d'Amérique, ainsi que par la Commission européenne.

Of these assets, the Library is unquestionably the most outstanding and is a lasting record of the Institute's work and its achievement in the field of agriculture. This catalogue will undoubtedly contribute towards a better knowledge of this international Library. This volume in its present form, represents the systematic card-index, by subject of the Brussels Decimal Classification, in French and English, and it's supplemented by the general alphabetical index of authors.
