Synopsis (short abstract) This is the fil version of the report of the Twenty-second Session of the Indo-Pacific Fishery Commission (IPFC), held in Darwin, Australia, from 16 to 26 February 1987. Major topics discussed were: the exploitation and magement of marine fishery resources in Southeast Asia, trends of fisheries in the region, the development of fish utilization and marketing in the Indo-Pacific Region, progress in the implementation of the Strategy and Programmes of Action of the FA0 World Conference on Fisherie s Magement and Development, matters related to functions and responsibilities of the PFC Standing Committee on Resource Research and Development (SCORRAD), future inter-sessiol activities of the Commission, subjects for symposia at future sessions and cooperation with other bodies dealing with fisheries in the Indo-Pacific region. A list of the main decisions, directives and recommendations are listed in Appendix D.

This 2025 edition of the GFCM flagship publication The State of Mediterranean and Black Sea Fisheries presents the most comprehensive and up-to-date review of fisheries and aquaculture status and trends in the Mediterranean and Black Sea region. The sixth installment of this report is the most ambitious to date and comes as a result of an unprecedented collaborative effort across the region. It reflects incremental scientific work, strengthened monitoring and significant innovations in data collection and analysis. The State of Mediterranean and Black Sea Fisheries 2025 expands temporal coverage and incorporates new data on both fisheries and aquaculture, providing a clear and accurate picture of trends and challenges across the region and assessing progress towards the targets set by the GFCM 2030 Strategy for sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
