    The Study Tour was financed by the UNDP and had the following objectives.     This user manual assists in the utilization of BEFSRA biogas industrial tool. The manual provides useful definitions related to biogas digestor options, its operation and key parameters affecting production performance. After completing this manual and operate the tool, users will be able to perform the techno-economic analysis of biogas production and different potential uses for electricity generation, Cogeneration of heat and power (CHP), direct use for heating and cooking or upgrade to natur al gas. Users will be guided through a practical example on how to use the more than 450 feedstock options included in the database and that range from agriculture residues to common agro-industrial residues, for codigestion or seasonal operations. A correct use of manual and tool will provide an indication of production costs and investment; financial viability feedstock demand, and potential socio-economic benefits of biogas industrial plants.
