No results found.La implementación de mecanismos de compras públicas directa a la Agricultura Familiar es una tecnología social, un modelo de compras estatales en el cual el estado compra a agricultores familiares los distintos productos alimenticios que demanda para sus servicios sociales y proveer así a la alimentación escolar, hospitales, fuerzas armadas, servicios penitenciarios, etc. Desde el año 2012, el Programa de Cooperación Internacional Brasil-FAO, a través del Proyecto de Fortalecimiento de Programas de Alimentación Escolar (FPAE), en el marco de la Iniciativa América Latina y El Caribe sin Hambre 2025, ha apoyado experiencias piloto de implementación de mecanismos de compras públicas directas y locales en El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua y Paraguay, vinculados a Programas de Alimentación Escolar, cuyos aprendizajes relevantes se rescatan y comparten en el presente documento. Se destacan las buenas prácticas en “Articulación institucional” en El Salvador y Nicaragua, “participación comunita ria” en Honduras y “fortalecimiento de políticas públicas” en Paraguay. -

However, less attention is being paid to the biodiversity beneath our feet, soil biodiversity, which drives many processes that produce food or purify soil and water. This report is the result of an inclusive process involving more than 300 scientists from around the world under the auspices of the FAO’s Global Soil Partnership and its Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils, the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative, and the European Commission. It presents concisely the state of knowledge on soil biodiversity, the threats to it, and the solutions that soil biodiversity can provide to problems in different fields. It also represents a valuable contribution to raising awareness of the importance of soil biodiversity and highlighting its role in finding solutions to today's global threats. -
