This series aims to provide national policymakers with valuable information from colleagues and counterparts in Asia, Africa and Latin America who are on the same adaptation planning journey to address the multiple challenges posed by climate change. Each case study describes the contribution and lessons learnt from the UNDP-FAO Integrating Agriculture in National Adaptation Plans (NAP-Ag) programme, funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) through the International Climate Initiative (IKI). -

Next, the document applies the methodology to public expenditures in Kenya to analyse how agricultural spending policies help, or hinder, Kenya’s climate change adaptation and mitigation. -

No results found.The Kenya Inception Workshop of the Integrating Agriculture into the NAPS is an introductory workshop, bringing together the stakeholders necessary for implementing the holistic aims of the project inside Kenya. The report written after the event is to brief both stakeholders, the UNDP and FAO on the event. The Workshop Overview of the Integrating Agriculture in NAPs Inception report enables interested parties to get a brief outline of the event, its attendants and the actions that took place without having to read the entire report. As part of a series of on reports submitted to the NAP-Ag programme, it is hoped that information can disseminated by the executive summaries to increase the effectiveness of partner countries workshops and report writing. The Workshop Overview will also serve as a quick highlight of the progress in partner countries being supported by the NAP-Ag programme. Understanding the processes done by the program’s partner countries allows for greater efficiency both inside the partner country but also among other partner countries. The Workshop Overview of the Inception report gives a breakdown of the key highlights, this allows for an immediate understanding of the outcomes of the summary without reading the entire report.
