Millennium Development Goals: the Region has achieved the Hunger Target
2015Also available in:
The Panorama of Food and Nutrition Security is an annual publication of FAO’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean which includes, in a single document, the results of its ongoing analysis on the situation of hunger, malnutrition and poverty in the region. Through its successive editions, the Panorama has attempted to provide a comprehensive overview of the four dimensions of food and nutrition security: availability, access, utilization and stability, by analysing its indicators: the situation of undernutrition and malnutrition, food production, agri-food trade, poverty and inequality and economic growth, among others. It is worth emphasizing that food and nutrition security is a complex and multidimensional issue that concerns several sectors and demands a holistic and integrated approach.
