Pooled size compositions of the main species caught are shown in Annex 3 for Nicaragua, Golfo de Fonseca and El Salvador. Only one length sample of langostino is available from the Nicaraguan catches, but mean weights from the catch records range from abt 11 to abt 20 grms and confirm the relatively large size of the langostino in most of this area. The length composition for the El Salvador langostino show the smaller size here, and this is confirmed by mean weights which ranged from 5.4 to 15.8 grms and only in three cases exceeded 12 grms.
Annex 4 gives the details of the biological sampling on squid. Maturity stages are classified according to a system used in Nicaragua. The species has a great potential for growth and the sizes caught (and observed in the light of the vessel) are small.
Annex 5 gives a list of all species caught.
