51. As this was his last Executive Committee meeting, the Secretary thanked the members of the Executive Committee for their support and hard work that had contributed to the successful emergence of APFIC as a Regional Consultative Forum.
52. The Committee expressed its deep gratitude for the excellent facilities and generous hospitality accorded by the Department of Fisheries of the Government of Malaysia which rendered success in the conduct of its meeting.
53. As a final action for the meeting, the Committee reviewed all the suggestions put forward by members during the previous two days as possible items for consideration by APFIC for future work. It was concluded that most of the items had been included as topics for the RCFM or for action by FAO, either through the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific or through its headquarters in Rome. A summary list of these items is presented in Appendix F.
