1. The Codex Committee on Natural Mineral Waters held its Sixth Session in Bern, Switzerland, from 19 to 21 November 1998, at the kind invitation of the Government of Switzerland. The Session was opened and chaired by Dr. phil. II Urs Klemm, Chair of the Swiss National Committee of the Codex Alimentarius, Vice-Director of Main Food and Consumer Safety Unit, Swiss Federal Office of Public Heath. The Session was attended by 83 delegates and observers from 30 Member countries and 5 international organizations. The list of participants is attached to this Report as Appendix I.
