During 6 days of work in Colombian waters the vessel steamed abt. 1300 nm and 30 trawl stations were made. 13 days of work, corresponding to a steamed distance of abt. 2130 nm, were spent in Panama and 71 fishing stations were worked. The respective figures for Costa Rica are 7 days, 1090 nm and 14 fishing stations .

The course track with fishing and hydrographic stations are shown in Figure 1 to 3. Most of the shelf of the three countries has been covered with a regular pattern, leaving only minor shallow areas uninvestigated. Some special studies were carried out at the deep-water slope off the gulfs of Panama and of Nicoya to test the catch rates of the deep-water crustacean resources. The current and wind conditions were not favourable for the experiments off the Gulf of Panama. Except from this, the weather conditions did not put any limitation upon the work carried out.
