Experts from several countries in the region are attending the course and this is an important sign that both donors and official government authorities, not effectively acting in the promotion of the PIM approach, are now better recognizing its importance in the development of the water resources and are envisaging the required measures. A workshop on water valuation and cost recovery mechanisms in the developing countries of the Mediterranean region was carried out in 2003 in Morocco in cooperation with the other CIHEAM institutes and the co-sponsorship of the World Bank through the financial support of their experts. This workshop can be repeated upon request. Target group Programme
