Sampling of lanternfishes (Myctophidae) was included in the programme as a task of lesser priority. Midwater trawling offshore and also demersal trawling in the 200 - 500 metres depth interval yielded small catches of Myctophids, and preserved samples from 22 stations were brought to the University of Bergen for further study.
