1 Australia data covers July 1998 to June 1999 instead of 1999As shown in Appendix 5, exports from the United States of America grew from 7.7 million tonnes in 1999 to 9.3 million tonnes in 2000.
Appendix 6 shows that the main importers of recovered paper in 2000 were Canada, France, Germany and the Netherlands, and accounting for a total of nearly 6.5 million tonnes. Those imports represent significant percentage of the total usage of recovered paper especially in the case of the Netherlands with over 80 percent in 2000.
