Lumber Pallet Jack. - Ratchet lever jack designed to speed unloading of lumber pallets from railroad cars at lumber or freight yards. Useful for yards not equipped with complete mechanical unloading equipment. Low-cost substitute for additional fork truck or other handling equipment used for unloading at all yards. Has toe lift to which 40 in. (1 m.) steel angle is welded. Angle inserted under one end of lumber pallet. Load raised until two pipes or cylinders can be placed beneath.
