PREPARATION OF THE DOCUMENT
This document consists of three parts: Firstly, the Report of the Second Session of the IPFC Working Party on Inland Fisheries. Secondly, a record of the discussions held during a Joint Session between the IPFC Working Parties on Inland Fisheries and the IPFC Working Party on Aquaculture. Thirdly, the papers submitted by individual contributors to the joint session, which served as a basis for the discussions.

ABSTRACT |
This document presents: 1. The Report of the Second Session of the IPFC Working Party on Inland Fisheries, which met in New Delhi, India, from 23 to 27 January 1984. The Working Party (a) reviewed the implementation of its programme since the First Session in 1978; (b) held joint discussions with the IPFC Working Party on Aquaculture, and (c) discussed items of common interest on the development and management of inland fisheries and formulated a programme for the coming biennium. |
2. The report of a Workshop held jointly between the IPFC Working Parties on Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture to consider specifically the role of stocking and introductions in the improvement of production of lakes and reservoirs. Individual contributions to this Workshop are appended. |
