In addition to the convening of regional workshops on forest genetic resources mentioned in FGR 26 (dry-zone Sub-Saharan Africa), FGR 27 and 28 (Pacific sub-regional) and FGR 28 (SADC Sub-Regional), FAO and its collaborators are now producing an increasing number of publications on forest genetic resources. The number of publications will further increase as more regional workshops on forest genetic resources are planned for the coming years.
These Working Papers will be made available in their original language at the homepage for FAO forest genetic resources and can also be obtained in hard copy by sending a request to:
Forest Genetic Resources, Forest Resources Development Service, Forest Resources Division, Forestry Department, FAO, Viale delle Terme de Caracalla, 00100 Rome

FAO FOREST GENETIC RESOURCES HOMEPAGE
The FAO homepage on forest genetic resources has been restructured and updated in 2001.
The homepage now contains more easy accessible country and region specific information on forest genetic resources with links to other forest resource information e.g. information from the global forest resource assessment 2000 (FRA 2000). The homepage will also present links to the two corporate homepages on biotechnology and biodiversity, which also have been posted recently.
These homepages are not supposed to be static and we appreciate all comments and suggestions for further improvement.
