99) The Delegation of Chile proposed to nominate Mr. Luis Emilio Feliz Roa (Dominican Republic) for appointment as Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean by the 23rd Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission and until the end of the 24th Session of the Commission. This proposal was unanimously supported by the Committee. Mr. Feliz Roa expressed his thanks to the Committee and his intention to work with countries in the Region to strengthen Codex work at the regional and international level.
100) The Committee expressed its sincere appreciation of the work of Dr. Galdós Ugarte (Uruguay) as a Coordinator for the Region and noted the progress that had been made in furthering the work of Codex in the Region during Dr. Ugarte’s term of office.
