2015The annual report provides detailed information on the results of OIG’s audits and investigation work during 2014. OIG recognizes positive measures undertaken in 2014 as part of FAO’s transformation supporting a significantly stronger results-oriented, risk conscious and accountable Organization. Further improvements to FAO’s integrity framework were made and management has been responsive to the results of investigations carried out in relation to staff and third party misconduct. Management ha ve supported a transparent approach with donors on investigations into losses on projects they have financed. At the same time OIG’s audit coverage in 2014 indicates that there remain important challenges in a number of areas that are essential for the Organization’s transformation to be sustained and greater efficiencies achieved.
