Volume 1 describ es the technical results obtained in each of the thematic studies. Volume II details the tools and methodologies used in each of the thematic studies. -

No results found.El análisis presentado en este documento describe la implementación del Marco Analítico BEFS en Perú. El objetivo principal del reporte Compendio Técnico titulado Bioenergía y Seguridad Alimentaria Aplicación del Análisis de BEFS en Perú es demostrar como la utilización de estas herramientas proporciona un marco para analizar los temas que conciernen bioenergía y seguridad alimentaria. Los resultados que surgen del análisis no deberían ser considerados como definitivos sino que proporcionan indi caciones sólidas para identificar prioridades políticas. Los análisis técnicos presentados en el reporte deben ser vistos desde una óptica de análisis de entrada o base y, sobre todo, demostrativo de las herramientas del análisis. El Compendio Técnico incluye dos volúmenes. En el Volumen I titulado Bioenergía y Seguridad Alimentaria - Aplicación del Análisis de BEFS en Perú: Resultados y Conclusiones se describen los resultados técnicos obtenidos por cada estudio temático. En el volumen II titul ado Bioenergía y Seguridad Alimentaria - Aplicación del Análisis de BEFS en Perú: Metodología se detallan las herramientas o metodologías utilizadas en cada estudio. -

Un slido argumento para el desarrollo de la bioenerga se relaciona con la capacidad del sector de liberar el potencial agrcola atrayendo las inversiones necesarias para aumentar la productividad agrcola, con el fin de estimular la seguridad alimentaria y reducir la pobreza. Este documento presenta el Marco Analtico BEFS (AF por sus siglas en ingls) creado para probar este argumento. La agricultura es el centro del Marco Analtico y permite a los gobiernos considerar estrategias viables en pro de los pobres para el desarrollo de la bioenerga. El conjunto de herramientas dentro de este marco ofrece un enfoque integrado para la toma de decisiones que combina la viabilidad tcnica con los objetivos de desarrollo social y econmico que prevalecen en el pas. Este documento explica los fundamentos y la estructura del Marco Analtico BEFS, entrega una visin general de las herramientas y su aplicacin y muestra cmo la informacin analtica generada ayuda a los responsables de las polticas en la toma de decisiones informadas acerca de las diversas consecuencias de los avances en bioenerga sobre la seguridad alimentaria, reduccin de la pobreza, desarrollo agrcola y crecimiento econmico.

They aimed to identify the critical loss points in the selected supply chains, the key stages at which food losses occur, why they occur, the extent and impact of food losses and the economic, social and environmental implications of the food losses. Furthermore, these studies also evaluated the feasibility of potential interventions to reduce food losses and waste. -

No results found.The Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (KJWA) was established at COP23 to address six topics in the agricultural sector's role in climate change. KJWA has contributed to sharing scientific and technical knowledge, but limitations remain in translating outcomes into concrete climate actions. The new four-year joint work on the implementation of climate action on agriculture and food security, which prioritizes ending hunger and considers national circumstances, includes the creation of an online portal for sharing information. The four-year agenda is shaped and broadened through the submission of views by parties, observers, and civil society and will be considered by SBSTA and SBI in June 2023. -

The 2023 edition of the Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean presents an update of the data and trends in food security and nutrition in recent years. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis and the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the economic slowdown, rising food inflation and income inequality have had an impact on regional figures. The most recent data shows that, between 2021 and 2022, progress was made in reducing hunger and food insecurity in Latin America and the Caribbean. However, the progress achieved is far from the targets established to meet SDG 2 of ending hunger. In addition, one in five people in the region cannot access a healthy diet and malnutrition in all its forms, including child stunting, micronutrient deficiencies and obesity continue to be a major challenge.
