Mediante el monitoreo de la información oficial de los países de la región, se busca entregar una alerta sobre los potenciales impactos que un alza de los precios de los alimentos puede generar sobre el bienestar de los hogares más pobres y vulnerables de la región, dado que son quienes destinan una proporción importante de sus ingresos al consumo de alimentos. Un adecu ado monitoreo de los precios de los alimentos resulta, en tal sentido, clave para la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional de la región. -

They aimed to identify the critical loss points in the selected supply chains, the key stages at which food losses occur, why they occur, the extent and impact of food losses and the economic, social and environmental implications of the food losses. Furthermore, these studies also evaluated the feasibility of potential interventions to reduce food losses and waste. -
