BookletHigh-profileFAO Strategy on Climate Change 2022–2031 2022The FAO Strategy on Climate Change 2022–2031 was endorsed by FAO Council in June 2022. This new strategy replaces the previous strategy from 2017 to better FAO's climate action with the Strategic Framework 2022-2031, and other FAO strategies that have been developed since then. The Strategy was elaborated following an inclusive process of consultation with FAO Members, FAO staff from headquarters and decentralized offices, as well as external partners. It articulates FAO's vision for agrifood systems by 2050, around three main pillars of action: at global and regional level, at country level, and at local level. The Strategy also encourages key guiding principles for action, such as science and innovation, inclusiveness, partnerships, and access to finance.

2020Normes internationales pour les mesures phytosanitaires (NIMP) no. 6 (Lignes directrices pour la surveillance) fait référence aux «composants des systèmes d'enquête et de surveillance aux fins de la détection des organismes nuisibles et de la fourniture d'informations à utiliser dans les analyses du risque phytosanitaire, l'établissement de zones exemptes d'organismes nuisibles et, le cas échéant, la préparation de listes d'organismes nuisibles ». Ces composants constituent un système de surveillance des phytoravageurs. La surveillance est une obligation d'une organisation nationale de protection des végétaux (ONPV) et sous-tend d'autres obligations et la prise de décision phytosanitaire. C'est un élément essentiel du système phytosanitaire national. La surveillance des phytoravageurs joue donc un rôle clé dans le mandat général de l'ONPV et est requise par l'article IV.2 (b) de la Convention internationale pour la protection des végétaux (CIPV). -

No results found.The zero-deforestation movement has gained considerable momentum as governments and companies enter into commitments to curb deforestation. The most innovative are multi-stakeholder initiatives, where governments and international organi- zations have joined with the private sector and civil society organizations in making commit- ments to reduce deforestation. These pledges have created opportunities for improved forest governance by envisaging the private sector at the centre of the movement. They have also encouraged a broader understanding of the drivers and and consequences of deforestation, and how these can be more realistically addressed.
